Built in 1921 by Kansas City Southern Railway, Vivian's beautiful Railroad Station Museum has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1995.

Located at the head of beautiful Louisiana Avenue in Vivian, Louisiana is one of the town's loveliest and valued historical treasures. Vivian Railroad Station Museum is the place you want to visit not only to learn of the area's railroad history. Each meticulously restored room of the museum exhibits a diverse array of North Caddo Parish history. It is the place to visit when you want to know what makes Vivian the point of interest that it is.
Vivian and the railway have an intersecting history. It has been reported that Vivian as well as several other small towns along the KCS line were named for the daughters of railroad personel. The museum houses several written accounts of the history of Vivian including its railroad connection.
